Happy Summer (Pretend) Birthday Xander!
Xander wants a Super Hero party this year - so superheros it is!
He requested chocolate chip muffins with superhero rings in them for his school pretend party.
I was fortunate enough to also be able to stay and read his book to the class.
For those of you who don't know, each year Tommy and I select a hard back book that we think reflects the year for each child.

As Xander is our resident dress up king, knight, Peter Pan, Pirate, and many other things - this book talks about how a little boy wishes he could have lived a long time ago in the world of knights and dragons!
My other favorite reason for choosing this book is that it is so funny - just like Xander! The illustrations in a Mercer Mayer book are what make the story really come to life, where you find the humor of the story. Perfect for those little boys who aren't quite reading - just yet!
