As I am working on a project right now dealing with digital pictures, I couldn't help take this moment to take a walk down memory lane - through Easters of the years past.

Mikaela did have a first Easter - in 2003. Life before digital cameras.....so I will have to search for a hard copy of that one to scan and add to my post!

My favorite was 2006 - her first chocolate bunny. I know...she was 3 that Easter. But, still allergic to dairy. The Nana and Papa helped the easter bunny find her a dairy free chocolate bunny........and never was a chocolate bunny enjoyed more than that one!

Xander always looks like Christmas morning when he finds an egg - be at a school egg hunt, Nana's yard, or in our living room. He is so excited...every time!

Meeting the Veggie Tales (I will share my quick complaint - it was our turn, we had waited fifteen minutes for them to appear and it to be our turn. The little girl in the pink hat - would NOT get out of our picture and let the kids have a turn! I asked her (and her parent) politely more than once....... - her dad should have had to take home my kid who had a fit that he did not get to hug Bob.)

Me, in the music show. In case you can't tell from this LOVELY picture, I am "Ghost Number 1" - somehow I got chosen (darn those front row seats so the kids could see well......) to be in the second drum story telling. I was...."Ghost Number 1". My job was to do whatever crazy thing that the story said I did (scream, jump out at the man, dance, make crazy faces). Once I got past the initial hesitation...watching my kids faces watching me participate....was worth every moment.

Nana Barbara Comes to Visit

We were so excited to have our dear Nana Barbara come to visit for spring break this year. Xander and Mikaela loved introducing the Wii.

It turns out the nana is an expert at Wii fit yoga!

Tommy and I enjoyed seeing the nana and getting to visit. AND having someone else for the kids to talk to and entertain over spring break! And for her EXCELLENT childcare skills - she and Mikaela had the best slumber party while Tommy and I went out for our anniversary dinner. They watched High School Musical 3 (a must), made quesodillas (a favorite), and worked on a craft project.

We were all sad to see her go, but are definitley looking forward to visiting her and the beach this summer!

We missed celebrating Christmas with Nana Barbara this year. She came in to town just as the stomach virus hit our house. I have to confess that Christmas in April was quite cool. The kids haven't opened gifts in a while, and birthdays are still a ways away. They were really excited to see Nana Barbara and fought over her attention for her whole stay!

Though one of my favorite moments came as we drove into Atlanta, on I-85, and Xander exclaimed "Mommy - I see the castles!!!"
